The Data Collection Partners warehouse management system WULFE was developed for one of the largest warehouse/distributors in the Midwest. WULFE which is an acronym for wireless unlimited legacy front end is as the explanation implies a “front end” to a warehouse firm’s ERP. The economical WULFE software provides lot and item management from receipt, through put-away, movement, picking, loading and shipping. WULFE takes a snapshot of the ERP’s daily beginning inventory and then tracks all movements shift by shift, reporting each change to the resident ERP system. At the end of the day, WULFE takes another snapshot of the ERP inventory and compares it its own XXXX. Any discrepancies are immediately corrected and then the WULFE results are archived and the process is repeated.

Because WULFE does not directly interface with the resident ERP there is no need for expensive programming to make the two programs compatible. Also, because there is only a one way transmission of data from WULFE to the ERP the system runs at a higher rate and importantly, changes to WULFE to customize its operation to the exact needs of the client are fast and inexpensive.
